Picture of the Wall, Amsterdam
I love this wall..
If you have a look at the size of the bike on the bottom right hand corner, you can tell how big this wall is. What gets to me is that its untouched, respected, and this is right in the middle of town. Lots of different artists have left their mark on this was. Each telling a different story of a different time. I was trying to figure out which piece of art was drawn first. Which one was the last. Its all a collection of art, put together, unintentionally, and its produced this wall.
I didn’t add any effect to this picture. I just added a couple of digital tags on there to mark me being there. See if you can spot them! And no, its not those two butterflies on the bottom right! :)
If you are ever in Amsterdam, look out for this wall! -

So, from my last post about - Smooth Drum & Bass Groves Part.11 - I’m going to carry on about me getting on a plane to Amsterdam on 11/11/11.
The next mix I recorded after Part.11 was “Postcard From Amsterdam” .
I went to Amsterdam for a Stag Do and anybody who’s been to Amsterdam, knows that its a great City! This was my 3rd time there and definitely would love to go again.
On the way back to London me, my brothers and friends were walking through Amsterdam, on our way get a coach to Eindhoven Airport. So imagine a group of 15 guys walking through town with our luggage. My brother stopped, so he could quickly get a last souvenir and entered a shop. I had to peddle back and tell him to hurry up before the coach leaves! So I’m standing at the shop door telling him to hurry the hell up and turn round and see this wall in front of me. I quickly take out my old annoying Sony Ericsson and take a picture of this wall!
Later on the plane I look back on the pictures I’d taken on the holiday and remembered I’d taken this picture. It looked absolutely great on my phone but I wanted to get home and see what it looked like on my Mac. It turned out pretty good coming from my old phone. So I decided to record a mix!
I’m the kind of guy that would get inspired by just about anything that catches me! An event, a car (The Black Chariot) or even a person.
First day in Amsterdam (11-11-11)
Walking around town and notice a shop with postcards outside. I wondered who back home would I send a postcard to. Then I realized, I have already sent a postcard from London to the person in London…
Hope you got my postcard!
This Mixtape is my postcard from Amsterdam to you!

Carrying on from my first Tumblr blog post, this is the following mix I recorded after Mixtape: 11-11-11 (check first post below).
As I said on the Mixtape description of -> 11-11-11, After 33 minutes of listening to this mix, I’m driving off with my spaceship -> “The Black Chariot” , while listening to Smooth Drum & Bass Grooves - Part.11!
I first recorded Smooth Drum & Bass Grooves - Part 1, back on Wednesday The 5th of January 2011. This was the first ever Drum & Bass mix I recorded. I had no idea of what was happening in that scene. I just bought 23 tracks from Beatport and decided to record a Mixtape. A few of you who have been listening to my mixes for a while now also know that I recorded Part.1 because I was -> #Tryingtoimpressagirl ! :)
But every month this year I have recorded a part. Each part usually translates what is going on in my life through inspiration. I didn’t think I was going to record Part.4 after publishing Part.3! I even recorded Part.8 back in August as the final ever part. This is because I thought I didn’t have anymore reasons to record another part. The inspiration was gone. I just thought it was time to end. Although I would still carry on recording new dnb mixes, they didn’t have anything to do with my story of Smooth Drum & Bass Grooves. But anyway, a month past and I decided to go back and record Part.9 in September. The inspiration was back and I thought I had to carry on with my story (mix). You can find all my Smooth Drum & Bass Groove parts on my SoundCloud here——————-> https://www.facebook.com/DJCkay01
I published Part.11 on this date: 11/11/11
On that same date I was on a plane to a land called “Amsterdam”
Part.11 is basically a mix saying goodbye, reminiscing of old times and about the future. All translated into a 27 minute Smooth Drum & Bass mix. This mix starts where my previous mix (11-11-11) finished…

As this is my first ever Blog post, I’ll start with my latest mix.
Its called 11-11-11 -> http://snd.sc/psPWPm Download->
I usually record a mix when I’m inspired by an event, feeling or in this case, a car!I was taking a “Tea Break” at work and walking towards my usually spot when I noticed this car. As I was getting closer, the car was getting bigger and bigger. The car looked like a spaceship. If I had a choice of any car, this would be my car! So I decided to take a picture and nickname it “The Black Chariot”
The next morning I woke up early and decided to record a new mix. I had a lot on my mind and was looking back at the last 11 months. Highs and lows, good times and bad.
This mix is basically the last 11 months squeezed into 33 minutes of Drum & Bass.Enjoy the music & let me know what you think here-> https://www.facebook.com/DJCkay01
